At Golden Living Taylorsville, we offer different lifestyle options to cater to each of our residents’ unique needs and preferences. In our Assisted Living program, residents can maintain a high degree of autonomy while dictating what level of care they need. Our assisted living residents can continue living life to the fullest while we take care of the rest—from housekeeping and maintenance to medication management and transportation.

Our Respite Care program is specifically designed for seniors who require temporary assisted living services. This program is perfect for seniors recovering from an illness or recuperating from a hospital stay, or for seniors whose primary caregiver is away. Our short-term residents are welcomed into our community and can take advantage of all the amenities and activities offered at Golden Living.

Meet Our Senior Care Staff

The Golden Living Team

Emily Von Gunten

Executive Director

Emily worked in the administration office of a non-profit organization for adults with disabilities for 11 years prior to becoming the Executive Director at Golden Living. She has a passion for health care. It’s the field that she always wanted to work in—and this year she graduates with a bachelor’s degree in health promotion and education from the University of Utah! Why does Emily love her job? “I enjoy making the residents laugh and making sure that they are having a good day. I try my best to make sure that they have smiles on their faces—and that can mean dancing in the hallways and singing Karaoke. I love giving the residents service through hand massages or manicures or just sitting and listening to their stories.”

Tonya Wright

Health Services Director

Tonya is an RN, board-certified in psychiatric nursing. She has worked in long term care, in a hospital on the acute psychiatric unit and in community nursing in home health, working with both geriatric and psychiatric patients before coming to Golden Living. She appreciates that the staff at Golden Living are a close-knit team. Tonya says, “I am consistently both challenged and rewarded by the residents who live here. Their presence, and knowing I’m making a difference in their lives is the best job fulfillment I could ask for.”

Seth Janich

Building Service Manager

Before coming to us, Seth worked in the ski industry for 15 years, doing customer service management in the winter and building and ski-lift maintenance in the summer. While he’s here at Golden Living, he’s going to school to get a business management degree. Seth says, “I work with great people every day. I can’t forget the wonderful people living here who always put a smile on my face. I don’t think there is a better job in the world—because you always have a chance to make someone’s day.”

Brandi Neff

Care Coordinator

Brandi is a Certified Nursing Assistant and caring patient advocate with more than ten years of experience, dedication and compassion. Before joining Golden Living, she was the lead medication tech and an assistant to the resident care coordinator, so we value the memory care experience she adds to our care staff.

Lorna M. Hilsendeger

Lorna’s experience includes working at the FBI in the fingerprint identification department! She started at Golden Living as a housekeeper, was promoted to head housekeeper, and then became a care coordinator, the business office manager and assistant manager. So she has an inside view of many areas of our community—and as our receptionist, she can answer just about any question that comes up. Lorna clearly loves our residents. She says, “They become a part of my family.”

Bridgett Fey

Community Relations Director

Bridgett comes to Golden Living Taylorsville with her BA in psychology and a passion for helping families find their solution in time of crisis. Bridgett's past jobs include working in the behavioral health field and assisting teenagers and families who need clinical treatment. In her free time, Bridgett enjoys anything to do with the outdoors, including hiking, skiing, camping, road trips and taking her two dogs on adventures. She has lived in Utah most of her life, but loves to travel. When asked what makes her job most pleasurable, she responded, "Golden Living feels like home. It is comfortable, friendly and warm. The whole vibe of the culture and community radiates harmony and togetherness. It feels like one giant family!"
